The A series is an elastomeric coupling combining the convenience of wrap around construction with the reliability of high performance polymers. The couplings consist of steel hubs, polyurethane wrap around insert and urethane or steel inserts. Available in close coupled, half and full spacer drop out versions to meet a wide variety of shaft separations.

Product Description
- There are only four moving parts to Powerstream couplings. The two identical hubs are made of high strength cast iron, ductile iron or steel, each with six or eight teeth, depending on size. The split insert, which is made of specially compounded Urethane, fits over the hub teeth.
- The retaining ring is made of Urethane or steel, with two setscrews. The coupling requires no nuts or bolts.
- The overall design is compact and can be supplied as a close-coupled or drop-out design.
- Hubs can be supplied either finish machined or with blank bores.
- Ideally suited for a vast range of applications in a wide variety of industries.

- Easy to install.
- Changeout of coupling insert is faster than any other coupling.
- Custom compounded Urethane inserts can be provided in a variety of durometers. This allows for both high damping and high torque use.
- Urethane insert is resistant to chemicals and oils.
- Standard Insert: – 40° to 180° F.
- High-Temperature Inserts: up to 300° F.
- No lubrication or maintenance.
- Can rotate hubs independently for motor test.
- No metal-to-metal contact.
- Large bore and torque capacity.
- Horizontal and vertical operations, in either direction, using standard inserts and retaining rings.
- Retaining ring supplied with setscrews (standard).
- Drop-out design interchangeable with grid-type couplings and other style elastomeric drop-outs.
