Technical Service Process for Hydraulic Equipment Repair and Maintenance

KLE provides repair and maintenance services for portable hydraulic equipment used for installation, bolting and on-site maintenance, including hydraulic hand pumps and hydraulic torque wrenches. These services help maintain equipment accuracy and operational safety while extending service life in heavy industrial, oil and gas, and marine environments.

Service Procedure

05 Technical Stages

Step 01

Initial Receipt and Condition Assessment

  • Conduct a general external inspection of the pump body, handle, pressure gauge, hydraulic hose and quick coupler.
  • Record the operating history, rated working pressure and reported issues such as leakage, pressure loss or mechanism jamming.
  • Prepare an initial condition report with photographs before disassembly.

Step 02

Disassembly and Detailed Inspection

  • Disassemble the pump or cylinder assembly and inspect the seals, O-rings, check valve and relief valve.
  • Measure piston clearance and inspect the pump rod and cylinder surfaces for scratches or corrosion.
  • For hydraulic torque wrenches, inspect the reaction arm assembly, ratchet mechanism and square drive.

Step 03

Replacement of Worn Components

  • Replace the genuine seal kit specified for the relevant equipment model.
  • Replace the hydraulic oil with the correct grade and viscosity recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Replace worn or damaged valves, springs or mechanical components identified during inspection.

Step 04

Reassembly and Pressure Adjustment

  • Reassemble the equipment in accordance with the specified tightening torque and the manufacturer's procedures.
  • Adjust the relief valve to the maximum permitted working pressure to support safe operation.
  • For hydraulic torque wrenches, calibrate the relationship between pump pressure and output torque using the equipment's pressure-torque chart.

Step 05

Testing and Final Inspection

  • Test the pump at different operating pressure levels and check for leakage and stable pressure gauge readings.
  • Test the hydraulic torque wrench using calibrated measurement equipment (torque transducer/test stand) to confirm that the deviation remains within the permitted tolerance.
  • Issue an equipment condition confirmation, together with a calibration or maintenance label and the next due date.
